Michaël Chassé is a medical specialist in intensive care at the Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM), a principal scientist at the CHUM Research Centre and an associate professor in the Department of Medicine and the School of Public Health at the Université de Montréal. He also holds a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Ottawa. He is Associate Scientific Director of Data Science at the CHUM Research Centre and the Scientific Director of the CHUM Centre for The Integration and Analysis of Medical Data (CITADEL).

His main research interests focus on improving traditional methods of epidemiological research using new technologies such as machine learning and innovative clinical trials, particularly in areas related to intensive care such as organ donation and death determination, organ transplantation and blood transfusions.
