Tina has been clinically involved in organ and tissue donation since 1990, establishing the Queensland Organ Donation Agency in 1999.

Since 2006, she has been a lecturer for the University of Barcelona, specialising in Family Approach, teaching on the International Transplant Procurement Management (TPM) course in Barcelona.  Tina has also provided training in Australia in the Family Donation Conversation and has lectured internationally on communication and family care.  She has a special interest in the care and support of donor families and remains clinically active in donation and education as the State Manager and Nursing Director of DonateLife Queensland.    

In 2017, Tina was awarded an Order of Australia (AO) for distinguished service to community health as a leader of, and advocate for organ and tissue donation and transplantation coordination organisations at the state, national and international level.
